Barriers Unveiled: The School I Dream Of
Exhibition venue: Mundo Matongé, Rue d'Edimbourg 26, 1050 Ixelles, Brussels, in the cafeteria area.
This art exhibition, organised by World Vision EU Representation, in partnership with Mundo Matongé, is a child-led initiative aiming to create a space for Palestinian children in the West Bank to share their experiences, concerns and aspirations, ensuring their voices reach key EU stakeholders. By showcasing their artwork, the exhibition highlights some of the main severe disruptions in education, including the surge in violence and the restrictions of movement. This is especially urgent as the new school year has recently begun, yet thousands of children are unable to access safe and continuous education.
This exhibition will feature artwork from children aged 6-14 developed during World Vision’s Summer Camps in the West Bank. Through guided workshops, the children reflected on their experiences of the past school year and imagined what their ideal school would look like.
