Disaster Risk Reduction Toolkit

Introducing the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Toolkit! The World Vision Asia Pacific team is pleased to launch this much awaited toolkit that will refine our on-going disaster management field work.

This user-friendly DRR toolkit is designed to assist field staff in undertaking the integration of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) into field programmes more effectively. In addition, the toolkit also serves as a step-by-step guide to help strengthen work in building community resilience.

We recognize that disaster risk issues are a real concern in communities and that equipping for disaster reduction is imperative. This DRR toolkit provides a step-by-step series of four tools and easy to use worksheets that will build knowledge and confidence for staff in tackling issues around disaster and climate-related risks in the field.

We also welcome the use of the DRR Toolkit with other stakeholders such as local governments and civil society organizations in joint risk assessment, analysis processes and programming.

This DRR Toolkit is a living resource for all practitioners, and we will strive to continuously improve and refine it. We welcome your feedback or queries.
