International Day of Families

Celebrating positive and loving relationships within families

At World Vision, we believe that strong, healthy families are the foundation for children's brighter future and thus play a vital role in creating a better world for all.  However, without adequate support measures, caregivers can become stressed, overworked, and be forced to make difficult compromises that jeopardise their mental health and the developmental well-being of their children.

Through our work, we seek to empower families to not only thrive economically but also create a safe, loving and caring environment for their children to grow up healthily.

How do we do it?

Celebrating Families

World Vision's Celebrating Families initiative emphasises parents', caregivers' and faith leaders' role in creating a safe and loving environment to support the spiritual nurture of children. It also equips them with how to translate these principles into practical and compassionate actions that can be applied within the family. Through this process, parents, caregivers and faith leaders learn to address family issues that hinder children’s holistic development and create space for children to experience love, leading to improved family relationships and reduced violence and neglect within the family.
