Every child has safe spaces to live, learn and play
Safe and secure childhood for every girl and boy
Violence against children is a critical concern for the most vulnerable girls and boys everywhere that World Vision works. Children who experience violence are often left with long-lasting negative social, emotional, mental, physical and spiritual consequences. In order for every child to enjoy life in all its fullness, we focus on preventing violence against children from happening in the first place, responding to violence when it does occur, and restoring children who have been affected by violence of all forms.
We work with and among communities to address the root causes of violence that often lead to abuse, exploitation, trafficking, and other forms of violence against children. Our community-led systems approach to ending violence, combined with World Vision's global campaign It Takes a World to End Violence, is catalysing a global movement of people committed to keeping children safe from harm.

Systems approach to child protection
World Vision employs an integrated and holistic approach by collaborating with governments, local authorities, civil society organisations, multi-faith groups, parents, and children themselves to promote positive norms and protective behaviour toward girls and boys as well as to establish and strengthen local child protection systems that function to create a safe environment for all children.
Child Participation
World Vision prioritises meaningful, safe, and appropriate participation of children and young people, from the grassroots level to the global platforms. This is essential for sustained child well-being and for creating democratic societies with informed and engaged young citizens who are capable of contributing to, and even leading, solutions to issues facing themselves.
Campaign to End Violence Against Children
Since the campaign launch in 2017, World Vision has impacted the lives of 325 million children globally. Together with children, young leaders, faith actors, advocates, and supporters, we have influenced over 1,300 policy changes that inform new government legislation, increase funding, and improve local systems and structures to better protect children. In 2022 alone, our advocates and supporters took over 1.5 million advocacy actions to end violence against children.
