World Vision is implementing health, education, livelihood, and food security programmes across more than 70 countries to support vulnerable children and families impacted by COVID-19. Many of these programmes are made possible thanks to our generous institutional and government donors, and private corporate foundations.
With their support, World Vision is able to implement a breadth of activities including the distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE) to health workers, provision of cash and voucher assistance, reinforcement of small businesses, establishment of community savings and loan schemes, promotion of remote education for children, and sharing of COVID-19 prevention messaging with emphasis on water, sanitation and hygiene behaviour change.

624,009 internally displaced persons, returnees get emergency food aid
In partnership with USAID, we have been providing food aid to 624,009 food insecure households in Ethiopia since 2018. To combat the spread of COVID-19, World Vision implemented a double rationing system, enabling families to stay home longer between visits.
Distributing food e-cards for vulnerable families in Lebanon
In partnership with WFP Lebanon, World Vision distributed electronic food e-cards for vulnerable Syrian families in Beqaa, implementing safety measures to ensure the protection of the beneficiaries and staff. Together with WFP, our aim is to ensure that the most vulnerable women, men, girls and boys meet their basic food needs continuously and safely.
