Preventing the spread of the virus
Priority
Our teams are coordinating and working with formal and informal health services and interagency groups to reduce transmission and limit the spread of COVID-19 by:
Harnessing the existing Channels of Hope and community health worker support platforms and equipping them with locally-relevant, contextualised messages to help prevent the spread of the disease.
In addition to education, vulnerable populations (especially those in densely populated communities where social distancing is difficult, such as refugee and migrant camps as well as slums) will be provided with water, hygiene services, supplies, and equipment to ensure good hygiene and infection control.
