Strengthening the Quality and Accountability of Emergency Response

After an independent Core Humanitarian Standard verification in 2021, World Vision developed a plan to strengthen the following areas of its responses based on the findings of the verification exercise:

• Organisational learning
• Environmental stewardship and management
• Digitalisation
• Local partnering
• Programming in Emergencies

Action research preceded the development of tools, approaches and frameworks, which were tested in the diverse response contexts of Ukraine, Moldova, Sudan and Somalia from 2022 to 2024.

This grant and its activities were crucial for enhancing World Vision’s humanitarian response capabilities, ensuring accountability, improving digital processes, and strengthening localisation efforts across various humanitarian contexts.
