World Vision works in Wadi Al-Arab Dam in Jordan to mitigate challenges for Syrian refugees and host communities

World Vision has been providing job opportunities to 1,092 Syrian refugees and Jordanian host communities living near Wadi Al-Arab Dam since 2019. The project, which is implemented by “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH” (GIZ), is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, Germany (BMZ). It aims to offer protection for the dam and provide cash-for-work opportunities.
