POSITION: Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

1. Major Responsibilities:
- Execute the preparation of standard plans for the emergency response programme incorporating log frame, M&E plan, ITT, activity budget breakdown, and narrative part. Prepare proposals and concept papers on food, non-food, livelihood, WASH, education, environment and health interventions to be submitted to various donors and other agencies for funding;
- Closely follow up and monitor implementation of program M&E emergency response and recovery/rehabilitation projects/programs and take the necessary step to correct any deviations from the objectives in implementation;
- Facilitate the compilation of post implementation monitoring report for projects’ progress and final reports indicating progress against objectives, issues and concerns and submit to HEA division, donors and Support Offices;
- Plan and implement post distribution monitoring based on guidelines given by HEA division;
- Participate in the evaluation and impact assessment of Gambella Emergency program for emergency response and recovery projects and programs and coordinating at the field level and review of the findings in relation to planned objective;
- Mainstream cross-cutting issues (gender, CC, environment, advocacy, disability, child protection, etc,) in emergency and recovery programs;
- Follow up ERP’s implementation status of projects and programs under his/her supervision and review the same for better utilization of the report for program improvement;
- Participate in DME meetings for exchange of information and coordination purpose.
2. Qualifications Required: a minimum of BA or BSc Degree
3. Work Experience and Skill Required:
- 2 years of experience on disaster management and development related fields
- Knowledge of local context.
- Experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing.
- Technical Training qualifications required: relief and development, or Sociology or related
