Ongoing grants and projects
In Sudan, World Vision operations are funded through donations from private donors and public institutions (such as multilateral organisations), as well as United Nations and government agencies.
World Vision implements a combination of short-term emergency lifesaving projects, as well as multi-year projects across the four states of East Darfur, South Darfur, Blue Nile and South Kordofan. A few projects are implemented through consortiums, where World Vision is either the lead or the implementing agency.
Interventions target the most vulnerable displaced persons (both internally and refugees), members of the host communities and families returning to their homes, after years of being away largely due to conflict (commonly referred to as returnees).
Below is an overview of some of our ongoing projects
Integrated General Food Distribution, Cash-Based Transfer, school meals for children, Food for Assets, and Community Nutrition Integrated Platform in East Darfur, South Darfur and South Kordofan states. Targeting vulnerable IDPs, refugees and host communities.

*Project has been counted in different categories, but the same project.
We are still reminiscing over the just concluded European Commission-funded project
*The European Commission-funded agriculture project for smallholder farmers in Blue Nile state, was World Vision's largest funding for resilience and development, implemented over a period of five years from 2015 until November 2019. Our deepest gratitude goes out to the European Union and its people for this long-term funding, whose lasting impact will be felt in the community of Blue Nile, for years to come.
