World Humanitarian Day: Aid workers, children are Not A Target during conflict
Children, humanitarian workers, women and other innocent vulnerable people should never be a target during the conflict.
Sadly, in eastern Africa, they are.
Women and children, along with humanitarian workers, are often targetted in attacks. This is deplorable. Innocent people should never be targetted in conflict.
Join us in signing this UN petition, to call the attention of world leaders to this situation.
Also, meet a few of the amazing World Vision humanitarian workers in eastern Africa who come face to face with the people who suffer. What they're doing:
- Uganda - Affected by a bloody conflict in childhood, this refugee response leader now works to assist children fleeing violence
- South Sudan - Aid worker helps displaced people seek safety
- Kenya - Head teacher leads a school of South Sudanese refugees
- Ethiopia - Livelihood specialist helps refugees build better lives through skills building
