World Vision Guatemala participated in the World Day of Humanitarian

In Guatemala, the Humanitarian Country Red headed by the United Nations system, international cooperation, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction, CONRED and over thirty Civil society organizations and humanitarian aid, including World Vision, was held on humanitarian Day, with the theme "help each other".
The Network is a forum for coordination of humanitarian actors present in Guatemala, respecting the mandate, independence, interdependence, leadership and institutional role of each of the organizations and agencies within it. We work together in disaster response at national phase of preparedness, mitigation, response and rehabilitation.
This day was held a press conference to make public awareness of the importance of humanitarian assistance in the world and the people who risk their lives to give help to those in need.
World Vision also joined the dissemination of the Campaign this year, where the artist Beyoncé donated the song "I Was Here" through the website, social networks and media. Also supported the promotion of a regional forum, which was held on August 16 from Panama City, where he participated Lathan Stephen, with a theme that included the protection of childhood and adolescence in times of disaster.
This day marks the date when 22 workers of the United Nations and NGO were killed in a bomb attack at the UN building in Baghdad in the year 2.003. Therefore, the World Day of Humanitarian seeks to celebrate humanity and the spirit of helping each other.
