- Communities and Their Health: World Vision empowers communities by training local health workers, promoting community engagement, and establishing community-based surveillance systems. We aim to promote health, prevent disease, and prepare for health emergencies, ensuring that even the most remote areas receive essential care. This aligns with our core value of empowerment, allowing communities to take ownership of their health and well-being.
- Climate and Our Environment: Recognising the impact of climate change on health, World Vision incorporates climate-resilient agriculture and food security programmes into our interventions. We work to mitigate the effects of climate change, helping ensure that communities can sustain their health and livelihoods. This reflects our core value of stewardship, as we manage resources to protect and preserve the environment for future generations.
- Collaboration for Health: World Vision fosters collaboration between communities, health practitioners, governments, and the private sector to share best practices and improve health outcomes. This multi-sectoral approach ensures comprehensive and integrated health solutions. Our core value of partnership is crucial, enabling collective action for sustainable health improvements.
These health programmes demonstrate World Vision’s commitment to holistic development. Our work aims to not only meet immediate health needs but also build long-term resilience in communities, contributing to a world where every child can experience life in all its fullness.
