Home Visitors
DownloadThe aim of the Home Visitors project model is to empower vulnerable households to improve the care and protection that children need to thrive in extremely difficult or risky circumstances. The approach provides a platform for community volunteers (serving as home visitors) to develop supportive relationships with most vulnerable children and their families. Home visitors also connect most vulnerable children and their families to social networks and relevant services within the community.
The Home Visitors project model can be implemented to address various issues affecting the most vulnerable children and their families. For example, home visitors can address child protection, health, education, early child development and other issues. The relationships established by home visitors can play an important role in preventing children from falling into situations of abuse, exploitation and neglect.
