2018 Impact Report from Nutrition LINKS which ran from 2013-2018.

About Nutrition LINKS: Building capacity for sustainable livelihoods and health through public-private linkages in agriculture and health systems, Nutrition Links is a five-year program implemented from 2013-2018 in six sub-districts of the Upper Manya Krobo District of Eastern Ghana. The goal of the project was to improve physical, social, and economic well-being of rural families living in this region by improving agriculture diversity, advance collaboration and harmonization of knowledge across institutions, increase evidence-based decision making, enhance district-based capacity and services, and improve child and adolescent health and nutrition.  By including extensive training at all levels (institutions to communities), NL helped build a sustainable knowledge and skill base to support the district in the future. The project moved away from addressing nutrition solely through the health sector and placed the responsibility across different government sectors (Ghana Health Service, Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Ghana Education Service, District Assembly, National Communication for Civic Education) in an integrated way.  The project represents a collaboration between academic partners: McGill University, University of Ghana; civil society organisations: World Vision International (Canada and Ghana), Heifer International, Farm Radio International, Population Council with funding provided by Global Affairs Canada and project partners.
