IMPROVING CHILD FEEDING PRACTICES AMONG YOUNG MOTHERS IN INDONESIA
This study focuses on systematising Photovoice and PEER ethnography as qualitative research methods to explore infant and young child feeding practices among adolescent and very young mothers in East Lombok, Indonesia. Through Photovoice, participants will capture their lived experiences with child feeding practices using photography, providing a visual and narrative approach to understanding barriers and enablers. We have developed structured lesson plans, including a Photovoice manual and handouts, to train participants in data collection, ethical considerations, community dialogue, and participatory analysis. The findings will inform social and behaviour change strategies to improve nutrition and child health outcomes in the region.
