Keeping Children Safe Online

Monday, March 11, 2013

In celebration of the recent International Safer Internet day and as a wonderful example of child participation, World Vision JWG shares a video on online rights and responsibilities. The content was developed by the children participating in World Vision’s Keeping Children Safe Online Project (KCSO).

Through this video, children aim to explain the fine line between rights and responsibilities - "We have the right to stay safe online, and we are responsible to keep my information private".

KCSO aims to provide children and youth with skills to better protect themselves and others from abuse and sexual exploitation when using the internet, mobile phones and other forms of media technologies.

World Vision Jerusalem-West Bank-Gaza continues to work through its programs to impact the lives of over 200,000 children in its 117 communities. World Vision works throughout the occupied Palestinian territory seeking to improve the livelihoods of families and children and ensure all children are cared for, protected and participating towards a brighter future.
