It Starts With Me - Laos

Advocacy

At the root of our commitment to the poor

We believe in the power of one voice. It has the ability to achieve the impossible, overcome inequality, challenge harmful behaviours, and call for justice for children.

We amplify the voices of children in Laos, harnessing them to call for what is right, fair and just.

We want to change the way the world works for children and create a lasting, sustainable impact. We believe all children should be valued, listened to, included and nurtured within peaceful, reconciled and equal families, communities and societies.

We work for justice for children through advocacy and global campaigns. At local, national, regional and international levels we work to change unjust policies, practices, and structures affecting the most vulnerable children.

It Starts With Me

Children deserve to be part of the decisions that impact their future.

They have the right to a healthy planet, in a sustainable world where they can breathe, grow and thrive. Last year, we amplified their voices and concerns, and created new platforms for them to engage with decision-makers in Laos, shifting the power and putting them back in the conversation around climate change. By partnering with faith leaders, civil society, development partners, and fellow organisations, World Vision leads the way in ensuring children's voices are considered in climate change decisions at the national level.

ENOUGH in Laos

Malnutrition & Food Security

A life of plenty for every Lao child is possible, yet every day more children suffer from malnutrition and food insecurity.

ENOUGH of the right food and nutrition is still not reaching the children who need it. This is just not good ENOUGH. Children are speaking out against this injustice and proposing solutions – together we will answer their call. Every child deserves the food they need to develop a healthy body and mind. Every family deserves to be able to put ENOUGH of the right food on the table.
