Wazzani, Marjeyoun- Faces of Poverty, The Human Face of Poverty in Lebanon

Wazzani is located in one of the most fertile parts of Lebanon with an abundance of water, yet the community struggles to survive on the edge of extreme poverty because they live under constant threat of renewed conflict & violence & the resulting displacement.
The area's inhabitants are poor! Not that they do not have food or money or resources, but because they lack education opportunities! Wazzani is a remote area, lacking basic services & mainly schools & universities! Drop out school rates are high and thus the majority of the scholars eventually resort to cattle breeding.
