Hundreds of children benefit from charity Christmas supported by World Vision

Over 300 orphan and vulnerable children from Mozambique were treated with joyful moments celebrating in advance the Christmas day, the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ.

The initiative is by the provincial first lady bureau from Gaza province, supported by World Vision Mozambique as part of the organization’s strategy to create conditions for the well being of boys and girls.

“I am here to celebrate Christmas, it’s my first time here having a Christmas like this, it’s the best Christmas, we have toys, Santa Claus everything” said Rossana Mabote, 13 years, from Manjacaze district, an area also supported by World Vision Mozambique.

“During the day we will play Santa Claus, dance, get presents and many others things” said Marlene Eduardo, 14 years old, pleased with the event.

World Vision support to Christmas also extended to a nursery also in Gaza province where children benefited from soccer balls, dolls, infant books for reading.

The responsible for the nursery thanked the support particular for the rehabilitation of school desks, cradles from the nursery that were already broken.

“You definitely made the Christmas of all these children and contributed also for our normal functioning by rehabilitating our furniture many thanks” said the responsible for the nursery, Rosa Mondlane. (x)
