Children are protected from disease
Jayanti, 20, is a Child Health Now campaign ambassador for World Vision in Kailali district. She ensures that children under-five access basic health services in local health institutions.
Child Health Now campaign ambassadors are volunteers at the district level willingly working as focal persons to support World Vision’s Child Health Now campaign. They advocate on issues related to child health and deliver key campaign messages. They also work to impart messages on simple solutions to prevent the deaths of children under-five in their own villages. Their work has influenced communities to bring behaviour change among parents and caregivers.
The Child Health Now campaign in Nepal aims to contribute to reducing child mortality in disadvantaged areas of Nepal in line with MDG 4, particularly in the poorest and most disadvantaged communities.
