Living healthier lives in Bhaktapur

Bibek, 14, and his family enjoy improved quality of life today with access to water, toilet and improved health conditions.

World Vision’s Area Development Programme in Bhaktapur has supported the construction of water supply system, toilets and provided agricultural training for many families in Sudal Village Development Committee where Bibek lives. Today his family not only grows and eats vegetables but also sells them thanks to the availability of water and agricultural training his parents took part in.

“We would like to thank World Vision for the toilet, water and everything we have got as it has made our lives better and easier. I had never imagined that we would be able to grow green vegetables in our own land, but now we eat fresh vegetables everyday which makes me very happy” says Saili Lamichane, grandmother of Bibek.
