19 July 2023:  For the first time, residents of Librazhd will have a multipurpose center in their community.

We are on the verge of starting the works for reconstructing the old building which will soon turn into a contemporary center, offering services for children and young people with disabilities, for parents, professionals, and farmers of Librazhd Municipality.

World Vision Albania, in cooperation with Librazhd Municipality, is implementing "Kia Green Light Project" with the support of World Vision Korea and funded by Kia.

The center will support 62 children and young people with disabilities with health and psycho-social services. Parents and caregivers will also be trained on children's development and how to engage in developmental activities with their children. Part of the activity plan in the frame of the project includes training of new parents, as well as medical staff and psycho-social service workers on early identification of disability in children.

Besides assistance delivered within the center, mobile services will also be offered to vulnerable children and youth who cannot access services at the multipurpose center. Services will also be available to other residents of Librazhd Municipality. According to the identified need and the existing possibilities of the center at the time of presentation of the case, the requested support and/or referral will be provided.

The Kia Green Light Project together with community members and representatives of local institutions will promote access to integrated services and improve disability services in the area.

The project will be launched on July 19, at 10:00, in Librazhd. The meeting will be attended by representatives from local, regional and national institutions, civil society, business representatives, parents, children and young people.

The event will end with a visit to the building which is located in the center of Librazhd and accessible to everyone.
