“SAY IT digital” - A photo exhibition on the challenges of youth employment

Tirana, 18 July 2023 - Employment is one of the biggest challenges facing young people today. They themselves have identified it as one of the issues they need to bring at the fore and provide a long-term solution to. A group of young people from different regions of Albania have worked on an exhibition, with black and white photos, which will be presented in Tirana to bring attention to this topic.

Referring to the official data from the Institute of Statistics, in the first quarter of 2023, the official unemployment rate among young people aged 15-29 in our country is 22.5%, which is 1.8% higher compared to the last quarter of 2022.

“SAY IT” – this is how young people named this initiative which combines elements of visual art and technology. Their aim is not only that of stimulating the dialogue on solving the challenges they encounter while fronting the labor market, but also involving their peers to become part of the process and bring tangible proposals.

The involvement of young people themselves in issues that directly affect their lives is essential, not only to create the necessary space to express their ideas and views, but also to present new and innovative solutions to the challenges they encounter on a daily basis.

The exhibition will have its launching event on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 19:00 and will remain open to visitors until July 22, 2023. This event is part of the initiative undertaken by the World Vision in Albania. For more than 24 years World Vision Albania supports children and young people in the vulnerable communities across the country.
