World Vision Zambia appoints Marc Nosbach as National Director

Friday, 5th July 2024, Lusaka, Zambia - World Vision Zambia Limited has appointed Mr. Marc Nosbach, a German National, as the new National Director, effective June 24, 2024.

World Vision Zambia, a member of World Vision International, is a development organisation that has continued to impact children’s lives through the implementation of Community development programmes that contribute to the sustained well-being of 1,500,000 children, especially the most vulnerable in over 75 districts across Zambia.

Expressing his gratitude for the appointment, Mr. Nosbach acknowledged the broad support from partners and communities where World Vision Zambia operates.

“I would like to thank the Board, Management and Staff of World Vision Zambia for entrusting me to lead a thriving organisation that has been serving the needs of vulnerable children, their families and communities over the last 42 years. I pledge to continue providing value to the children and different donors across different sectors,” said Mr. Nosbach.

Marc brings over 19 years of international experience in the development and humanitarian sectors and is pleased to be returning to Zambia, where he previously served as Country Director for Save the Children.

His leadership experience extends to roles such as Country Director for Save the Children in Zambia, Country Director for CARE in Mozambique and Deputy Country Director for Save the Children in Ethiopia. He has successfully secured and managed diverse donor funding portfolios, including grants and contracts from USAID, ECHO, EU, SIDA, and UKAID. Marc has also overseen child sponsorship programs in Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, and Zambia.
