World Vision is a supporting partner of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration initiative, led by UNEP and FAO. The UN Decade runs from 2021 through 2030, which is also the deadline for the Sustainable Development Goals. The UN Decade is building a strong, broad-based global movement to ramp up restoration and put the world on track for a sustainable future. Moreover, through International Partnership on Religion and Sustainable Development (PaRD), World Vision supports the Faith for Earth initiative, an initiative led by UNEP to empower and engage with faith-based partners for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
"For the past two years, our partnership with World Vision has been strengthening through holding several webinars, the Faith for Earth consultation processes and through WV membership in the Multi-Faith Advisory Council of the UN Task Force on Religion and Development. We are keen to establish a formal and strategic partnership as members of the Faith for Earth Coalition."
