World Vision Vietnam and YoungOne Corporation Delivered Humanitarian Aid Goods
Van Chan, Yen Bai, 30 January 2018 - YoungOne Corporation coordinated with World Vision to donate aid goods to people living in World Vision Area Programmes. Attending the event were senior representatives from YoungOne Corporation, World Vision, local authorities of Van Chan and Tram Tau districts, project management team, and World Vision Area Programmes that have been successfully supported this activity over the years.
As in previous years, YoungOne Corporation provided warm clothes and blankets for children and communities in 12 districts including Dien Bien Dong, Tua Chua, Muong Cha, Tuan Giao, Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang, Nhu Thanh (Thanh Hoa), Mai Chau (Hoa Binh), Minh Long, Son Tay (Quang Ngai) and Tram Tau, Van Chan (Yen Bai). The total number of donation includes 28,781 pieces of clothes and blankets, which are worth $190,264, equivalent to over 4.3 billion Vietnam Dong. Specifically, there were 3,065 jackets, 13,475 pants, 3,065 blankets and 9,241 hoodies for children.
In the event, Kim Jin Kook - General Manager of YoungOne Corporation in Vietnam stated: “We hope that this activity will contribute to reducing difficulties in local people‘s life.”
“In addition to helping address the urgent needs of children to have warm clothes and blankets in cold winter, the humanitarian goods also contribute to spread love and care for children in remote areas,” said Than Thi Ha - Operations Director of World Vision Vietnam.
In-kind support for children from business partners, including YoungOne, has been integrated into World Vision's development activities over the past 10 years and contributed to improving the well-being and health of children in remote areas of Vietnam.
