Children happily cheering World Vision
Tuesday, January 21, 2025

Child sponsorship is a partnership between World Vision International (WVI) Nepal and sponsors for the development of vulnerable children and their communities. Children and their families are involved in identifying and prioritizing the problems they face, as well as in the decision-making process. World Vision, in collaboration with partners, implements community-based, child-centered development programmes to improve the lives of children, their families, and communities, and to achieve sustainable development. In this way, the support provided by sponsors is used for development programs that benefit not only a family or individual but also the entire community. Sponsors see positive and qualitative changes in children, their families, and communities through these programmes.

The Child Sponsorship Programme provides an opportunity for sponsors and sponsored children to understand each other's cultures through letters, photos, and videos. It allows sponsors to learn about the development needs of the children's communities and for WVI Nepal to hear and see the positive and qualitative changes that have occurred in children, their families, and their communities through programmes and interventions.
