WHO Director General Dr Tedros spoke about the pandemic accord during a recent video message to the Multi-Religious and Multi-Stakeholder High-Level Forum on the role of faith in advancing positive outcomes for children, families, and communities, organised by Religions for Peace in New York on 25 March 2024.
A finalised accord on pandemic preparedness, prevention and response is aimed to be adopted at the May 27 to June 1 World Health Assembly of the WHO's 194 member states.
