"Rebuilding Together: A Cash-for-Work Project in North Lebanon"
The GIZ-funded project, implemented by World Vision Lebanon, is dedicated to helping both refugees and local communities in Lebanon who are struggling the most. Through Cash for Work activities, this initiative gives people a chance to earn an income and improve their lives. It directly supports 470 individuals—half of them Lebanese and half Syrian refugees—with a focus on including women and ensuring that 10% are people with disabilities. The project also indirectly helps 2,200 family members.

MIDDLE EAST CRISIS (MEC) ESCALATION | SITREP #2
Since October 2023, World Vision Lebanon has been responding to military escalations in Southern Lebanon, reaching 46,636 people, including 17,209 children. As the conflict intensified from 23 September 2024, its impact extended beyond Southern Lebanon to central regions, including Bekaa and Beirut, and so did our operations to meet the needs of affected families. By 9 October, over 2,119 people had been killed, 10,019 injured, and 1.2 million displaced, many seeking refuge in temporary shelters.

Clean Hands, Healthy Communities: Celebrating the World Handwashing Day in the Fight Against Mpox in DRC
This article explains that even though the DRC is the epicentre of Mpox, certain areas are not yet affected because local communities, supported by World Vision, have anticipated the situation by developing hygiene practices to protect themselves against this epidemic. Constant hand-washing is one of the solutions they have adopted, and children are protected in this way. That's why, to celebrate Global Handwashing Day, it was essential to present Le Pont Kwango as one of the model communities in the DRC.
