Niger Humanitarian and Flood Responses SitRep - December 2024

Niger continues to face persistent armed conflict in four main regions (Diffa, Maradi, Tillabéri, Tahoua), climatic hazards (floods, droughts), and a complex and dynamic humanitarian situation (epidemics, food insecurity, malnutrition, population movements, etc.). 

Chronic poverty, social inequalities, demographic pressure, growing structural vulnerability, inter-community tensions (due to access to resources and land rights, as well as discrimination and marginalization of social groups), are all factors that exacerbate the crisis and increase humanitarian needs. 

World Vision Niger leads the Niger Cat 3 Sustained Humanitarian Response (NiSHER) & Niger response to the devastating flash floods Cat2 with a US $ 12,291,401 appeal to Contribute to improving the living conditions of vulnerable populations affected by crises and/or natural disasters.
