CHNIS Nutrition Research Brief
DownloadThe Timed and Targeted Counselling (ttC) approach, one of the three complementary approaches explored in the Child Health and Nutrition Impact Study (CHNIS), is core to World Vision’s Global Health and Nutrition Strategy. It equips Community Health Workers with messaging aimed at improving women’s dietary practices and micronutrient intake during pregnancy as well as behaviours around breastfeeding, complementary feeding and micronutrient supplementation in infants and young children. Its impact is felt at the household level.
There were positive and encouraging findings along with lessons leading to improved nutrition practice as a result of this research.
