Disability, Leadership, and Inclusion: A Journey with Children
Please register via Zoom: https://bit.ly/WVInclusion

During this session, you will have the opportunity to hear directly from children, women, civil society partners, and parents about the significance of supporting leadership for people and children with disabilities. Their insights and experiences will shed light on the critical role that inclusive leadership plays in creating a just and equitable society.

Your participation will greatly enrich the discussions and contribute to our collective efforts to promote disability inclusion and leadership. By working together, we can create a world where all children are included, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Celebrating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Every year on December 3rd, we celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This special day is all about promoting the rights and well-being of people with disabilities and raising awareness about the challenges they face. This year's theme, "Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future," is a call to action. It highlights the importance of recognising and empowering people with disabilities to lead the way towards a more inclusive world.

At World Vision, we're committed to ensuring that everyone, including people with disabilities, has the opportunity to reach their full potential. By incorporating Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) into our programs, we strive to create a more equitable and just world for all.

World Vision Commits to a More Inclusive Future

World Vision is dedicated to creating a more inclusive world where everyone, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to thrive. To achieve this, we're taking bold steps:

  • Expanding Our Reach: We're committed to reaching more children with disabilities through our long-term programs.
  • Training Our Staff: Our staff will receive specialized training to better support individuals with disabilities.
  • Partnering for Impact: We'll work closely with organizations of persons with disabilities to ensure our programs meet their needs.
  • Empowering Individuals: We'll empower people with disabilities to participate fully in their communities and take on leadership roles.

Our focus areas include:

  • Inclusive Education: Ensuring that all children, including those with disabilities, have access to quality education.
  • Inclusive Health: Providing inclusive healthcare services and training health workers to support people with disabilities.
  • Inclusive Livelihoods: Creating opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in economic activities.

By working together, we can build a more equitable and inclusive future for all.
