Violence affects more than one billion children globally.

A year on from famine in Somalia, the food situation has improved, but for millions of Somali children, survival is still a daily struggle. Around one million people are living outside of their country’s borders and another 1.36 million are internally displaced.

 

This situation report includes the situation update and World Vision's response to COVID-19 in Syria, Jordan and Turkey. The report also highlights the humanitarian access and business continuity in Syria, as well as the funding needs and key advocacy messages.

25 August 2020 marks three years since more than 740,000 Rohingya Muslims fled mass atrocities in Myanmar. Today, an estimated 860,000 Rohingya are still living in limbo in the world’s largest refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
