World Vision Chad celebrates the Day of Prayer 2025
As usual, the staff of World Vision Chad gave thanks God for the past fiscal year 2024
and look forward to His grace in the new one.
World Vision Chad staff rejoiced in God's grace for the fiscal year 2024, with songs of praise, testimonies and the sharing of the God’s Word based on the day's theme: “Christ always at the centre”.
Unlike last year, staff from all around the country celebrated the day of prayer online. Development and emergency workers used their computers and video projectors to review the past fiscal year before looking ahead to 2025, which begins on 1 October 2024.
For WV Chad's National Director, Edouard Ngoy, "the targets for FY2024 have been more than met," with programmes reaching more than 1,407,112 vulnerable people, including 915,456 children. In fact, the growth of World Vision Chad's grant portfolio has far exceeded its funding targets, thanks to the development of partnerships with UN agencies, with grants from WFP, UNHCR and UNICEF. Partnerships have been strengthened, positioning the Office for new funding opportunities with these donors.
Banbo Dihoulné Claudine, Vice-Chair of World Vision Chad's Board, congratulated the staff for their commitment to the well-being of the country's children and encouraged them to keep up their good work.
Celebrating the year's achievements and lessons learned was one of the highlights of the day. The consecration of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) by Pastor Ngakoutou Apollinaire brought the day of prayer to a close.
