Water Brings Hope to Communities

World Vision's water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) projects have transformed the lives of children, families and communities in Kenya.

Watch how World Vision Kenya has improved the lives of children and families in Wajir County in the northeast part of the country through access to clean water. In arid areas, upgrading high-yield boreholes is a simple and cost-effective way to leverage available groundwater capacity. With the addition of solar power, water can be pumped from the borehole and piped closer to more distant households. This eases the burden on women and children, which increases the time they could be spending on education, livelihoods or other productive uses.
