Despite Challenges, World Vision Delivers Aid to Thousands in Eastern DRC
By Rodrigue Harakandi, Communications Officer
World Vision continues to provide assistance to internally displaced people in Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, despite the challenges of insecurity and logistics.
Thanks to these efforts and close partnership with the local authorities and communities to ensure that that aid reaches the people who need it most, the organisation has been able to provide food, cash, hygiene kits, and other essential tools for the survival and dignity of thousands of internally displaced people in the Bulengo, Rusayo, Kanyaruchinya, Munigi, and Bushagara camps.
Johan Eldebo World Vision Director of Security Operational Support, witnessed conditions on the ground in one of the camps he visited and gave an overview of the situation.
