Residents of Odumase community share plans to sustain water project
Board members of World Vision Ghana together with Board members of VisionFund Ghana embarked on a field visit to Odumase, a community within the Nkwanta South Area programme (AP). The visit followed up with the commissioning of a mechanised water facility for the people of Odumase community.
To sustain the project, residents pledged their commitment to allocate funds to revamp the facility periodically and ensure that the right measures are taken to repair it when it malfunctions.
As part of the visit, Board members witnessed a splendid Child Parliamentary session. Here, children had the opportunity to discuss issues affecting them for the right solutions to be proposed and addressed.
World Vision empowers communities and guides them to set their own goals and equips them so that progress is not only sustained but continued long after it has left.
