This project is funded by BMZ (German for Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) is implemented by a consortium of local and international organisations to increase outreach in the country, benefit from the long experience of international organisations and at the same time strengthen local capacities. AgriForward strives to uplift vulnerable communities and pave the way for a brighter future. Through a multifaceted approach, this project aims to not only enhance livelihoods but also foster a culture of peace and cooperation among diverse groups. And to create economic security for vulnerable communities in Lebanon. AgriForward aims to empower women, men, boys, and girls by providing training and resources to agricultural workers and farmers.

Khadija, 26, initially believed she was well-versed in farming. However, after attending these sessions, she discovered how much more there was to learn. She is particularly pleased with the opportunity to deepen her knowledge, especially regarding the effective use of pesticides. “I realized I gained a significant amount of knowledge and am genuinely pleased, especially with the opportunity to learn more about pesticide use.”

Amina, 53, began her journey in agriculture by assisting her husband with his farming tasks. Over time, she gained the necessary experience and eventually became an independent farmer. Attending these sessions has been immensely beneficial, providing her with deeper insights into the practices of seeding and sowing. "I can now rely on myself without needing to seek assistance from others. These sessions have transformed my future in agriculture."

Boushra, 21, has been working in agriculture for eight years, primarily focusing on planting tomatoes and potatoes. However, after attending these sessions, she has gained valuable knowledge on how to cultivate a variety of other vegetables. This newfound expertise will not only diversify her crops but also enhance her income potential. "Attending these sessions has significantly expanded my understanding of the specific needs of various plants. I have learned how to cater to each plant's unique requirements, enabling me to provide more tailored and effective care."

Mona, 43, is thrilled to have attended these sessions, because the sessions significantly enriched her agricultural knowledge. “I am happy to have learned the precise water requirements for each plant and i gained valuable insights into the fertilization process. This newfound expertise will greatly enhance my farming practices.
