In the heart of Tooz district's Kumari neighborhood, Najat is on a mission to address a critical need in his community: access to clean and affordable drinking water.

The scarcity of clean water, combined with the pollution of existing sources, created a dire need for a sustainable solution. Observing the health risks posed by contaminated water and the financial burden on families, Najat envisioned a project that would not only purify water but also make it accessible at the lowest possible cost. In April 2024, Najat launched his water purification project with unwavering determination. The project was supported comprehensively by World Vision which provided essential technical, administrative, and financial assistance. This included expert guidance on setting up an efficient potable water purification system.

Najat's project quickly gained traction, becoming a vital resource for the local population. By offering purified water at an affordable price, the project addressed both health and economic challenges faced by many families in the Kumari neighborhood. For Najat, this venture has been more than just a source of income; it has been a source of pride and empowerment.

Najat Muhammad Faraj's life revolves around his wife and two children, who are his greatest source of joy and motivation.

"My work with the water purification project is deeply connected to my desire to provide a better life for my family. Where once I was depended on my family for financial support, now I enjoy the satisfaction of self-reliance," he explains.

The project has provided a livelihood for him and his family allowing him to contribute significantly to their well-being. Beyond financial stability, Najat feels a deepened sense of belonging to his community and his social relationships have developed.

This newfound financial independence has not only empowered him but also allowed him to extend support to others in his community.

Today, Najat looks back on his journey with immense pride. The project has not only enhanced his family's quality of life but has also contributed to the health and well-being of his community.
