At thirty-four, Muhammad embodies resilience and empowerment. Living with paralysis of the lower limbs, Muhammad navigates his daily life using a wheelchair. Despite these physical limitations, Muhammad’s determination to improve his family’s situation has driven a journey of transformation. His story is a testament to his own initiative in the context of a well-conceived project promoting personal and community well-being.

Muhammad lives in Tooz district, a place where daily life presents many challenges, including limited resources and opportunities. Though he faces physical limitations, his determination to improve his family's situation has been unwavering. With World Vision's support, Muhammad pursued an idea that has not only transformed his own life but also contributed to the well-being of his community. His journey illustrates how a supportive project and individual initiative can make a meaningful impact.

Recognising his drive and potential, World Vision Iraq provided Muhammad with the financial and technical support Muhammad needed to launch a water purification and sterilisation project.

"This initiative aimed to address a critical need in my community by providing access to clean drinking water. This combination of financial resources and skill-building support empowered me to transform my vision into reality," Muhammad.

This initiative aimed to address a critical need in Muhammad's community by providing access to clean drinking water. His journey took a pivotal turn with the support of World Vision Iraq, which recognized his determination and the potential impact of his project. World Vision Iraq provided essential financial resources and technical support to help him launch a water purification and sterilization project. This combination of funding and skill-building empowered Muhammad to transform his vision into reality, benefiting both his family and his community.

The impact of Muhammad’s project has been profound. Providing clean drinking water addresses a fundamental need, reducing the risk of waterborne diseases improving health outcomes in his local community. It has also providing Muhammad’s family with a source of income. “I feel an immense sense of pride in knowing that I now depend on my own source of income,” Muhammad shares. “Being able to contribute to my family’s finances and participate in making important financial decisions has been incredibly fulfilling.” Mohammad continued.

Muhammad emphasizes that World Vision Iraq’s support has been instrumental in his success. “I am profoundly thankful to World Vision Iraq for their unwavering support and belief in my potential.” The partnership between Muhammad and World Vision Iraq is an example of how appropriately targeted support can make a significant difference in both personal and community development.

Reflecting on his journey, Muhammad’s story is one of overcoming adversity and embracing hope. Despite the physical limitations imposed by his disability, he has demonstrated that with the right resources and unwavering determination, barriers can be transformed into opportunities. “My disability is no longer a barrier to my success,” Muhammad affirms.

Muhammad’s story is meant to highlight the inherent worth of all people and the importance of support in enabling everyone to make meaningful contributions to their community.
