Mpekoa Shines in World Vision Sponsorship Engagement Training

In an encouraging display of dedication and learning, Kantoro Mpekoa, a Community Development Facilitator at World Vision Lesotho, has been recognized for his outstanding participation in the "Creating Great Photos and Videos for Sponsors Training" e-course. This course, aimed at frontline field staff and volunteers, equips them with the skills needed to capture compelling digital assets for sponsor engagement.
Mpekoa's commitment to learning and improving his skills has not gone unnoticed. Out of the many participants across the World Vision partnership, he was among the 14 selected for his exceptional performance and dedication. As a token of appreciation, the World Vision Global Centre, through World Vision United States, has gifted the World Vision Lesotho field office with equipment to enhance the quality of their video and photo content.
Reflecting on his experience, Mpekoa shared, "The training was invaluable. I learned different techniques for taking good quality photos and developing community update videos that are crucial for sharing with sponsors. These tools are crucial for sharing the needs of vulnerable children and showcasing the life-changing impact that sponsorship has on Basotho children, families, and communities."

In recognition of his achievement, Mpekoa received a Winners certificate endorsed by Graeme Newton, Senior Director for Child Sponsorship Marketing and Engagement, and Komborero Choga, Global Director for Sponsorship Ministry and Service. Additionally, as a token of appreciation, Mpekoa was presented with three microphones to improve the quality of video content, three umbrellas to ensure work continuity during unfavourable weather conditions, and reflectors to enhance photo quality, all of which will be utilized across all World Vision United States sponsored Area Programs in Lesotho.

Lieketseng Makoko, the People and Culture Director, expressed her pride in Mpekoa's achievement, emphasizing the importance of staff development and continuous learning in achieving organizational goals.
