Dialogue on nutrition with children of Zinder (Niger)
The children who participated in the food dialogue came from communities in World Vision Zinder's intervention zones, specifically the Dogo Area Program (Dogo Chaibou, Dogo Maikassoua and Felawa villages).
Note that the focus group was made up of girls (11) and boys (9), both in and out of school. There were also 4 disabled children (including 2 girls), i.e. 20% of the children who took part in the dialogue. The target age group is 12 to 18 years old, made up of RC children (15) and non-RC children (5).
It should also be noted that these children are involved in our activities which cover different topics such as: the use of MUAC for early detection of malnutrition, training in ecological market gardening, preparation of nutritious culinary dishes for children aged 0-5.
In addition, most of these children received public speaking training as part of the programme's daily activities, which made the exercise easier for them.
