World Vision improves livelihoods of Jordanian and Syrian youth in Jordan
With funds from the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (Germany), and in partnership with the Greater Amman Municipality, the Family Guidance Awareness Centre, Zaha Cultural Centre and the House Wives Society, World Vision has worked to improve and enhance the livelihoods of more than 300 Syrian and Jordanian youth and six community-based organisations (CBOs).
Through different vocational training programmes implemented under the project, three young people have attended skills development training and career counselling sessions, in addition to taking part in a Youth-Lead Research (YLR). A community-based organisation named ‘Daymoumet Al-Khair Association’ has also benefitted from a capacity-building training.
