World Vision’s Global Disaster Management awards response team for exemplary implementation of WFP Project in Moldova
Bangkok, Thailand - During last year’s Food Assistance Center of Competence event held in Thailand, World Vision Ukraine Crisis Response (UCR) in Moldova was awarded two prestigious certifications from the World Vision Disaster Management (DM) Team.
The first certification was for "Most Responsive Office in Resource Acquisition," and the second was for "Outstanding Performance in Information Reporting and Accounting".
These are recognition of the team's excellence in maintaining transparency, accuracy, and accountability in reporting. It underscores the meticulous approach taken by UCR in Moldova in managing and reporting project-related information.
Youssef Mhanna, the Moldova Operations Director, expressed his gratitude and emphasized the strategic importance of World Vision’s partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP).
The first certification was for "Most Responsive Office in Resource Acquisition," and the second was for "Outstanding Performance in Information Reporting and Accounting".
"The strategic relationship with WFP ensures support for the Moldovans hosting Ukrainian refugees. Our team is works proactively to achieve the high quality and standards that we always aim for”, Mhanna shares.
The awards validate the commitment of the Moldova team, and underscores the positive impact of collaborative efforts in humanitarian initiatives. They also serve as a source of motivation and inspiration for future endeavors.

Thanks to World Vision’s partnership it was possible to distribute cash assistance reaching more than 328,000 people to support their basic needs.
Of the 1.6 million people reached by World Vision’s humanitarian response to the Ukraine crisis, a total of 298,054 people, both Ukrainian refugees and host families are in Moldova.
