Drought response in Katuba Zone of Chongwe district

Christopher Sakala, a staff member at World Vision Zambia, is actively involved in implementing drought response interventions in Chongwe district. These efforts are carried out in close partnership with the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU).

Zambia has faced the driest agricultural season in years. Late-onset, prolonged dry spells and high temperatures have severely impacted crops. 84 districts, including Chongwe, have experienced crop failure due to the prolonged dry conditions.
