Gifts-In-Kind (GIK) is a programme that helps to create opportunities for a better future for vulnerable children with the help of donors and partners. GIK imports goods donated from various companies that complement development activities in the areas of Literacy, Health, Livelihood, Child Protection, and WASH.

According to Fred Mazumba, World Vision Zambia GIK Manager, GIK is a model fully birthed on integration.

“In Zambia, GIK means more than just a gift to the communities but is used to create impact, support other projects and programs, and ensure that it is demand driven while helping to achieve the long-term goals of the projects,” he said.
