Collaboration between the government and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in countries like Zambia is vital for addressing complex socio-economic challenges. This partnership enhances service delivery, promotes good governance, and leverages resources effectively, ensuring that development initiatives are more inclusive and sustainable. By working together, governments and CSOs can build community resilience, improve the well-being of vulnerable populations, and drive progress towards a more equitable and prosperous society.

In a significant step toward enhancing collaboration for community development, representatives from World Vision Zambia's Empowering Vulnerable Children with Education (EVE) Project Manager, Sidney Simubwa and Citizen Voice and Action National Coordinator, Ephraim Lungu, paid a courtesy call to the Honorable Minister of Southern Province, Credo Nanjuwa MP. The visit aimed to update the Minister and strengthen the commitment to working with various government departments to uplift vulnerable communities in the region.

Welcoming the Collaboration

The Provincial Minister, Credo Nanjuwa MP, warmly welcomed the World Vision Zambia's team and appreciated their significant contributions to the government's developmental agenda.

"I would love it if next time we meet, we don’t meet from my office but in one of your operating districts so that I can further appreciate the impact World Vision Zambia is having on our people in the province," the minister stated. I know you are excellently assisting the communities with vital services in education, health, water, sanitation and hygiene, child protection, and economic resilience. This is pleasing to us because we are working towards the same goal of creating a conducive environment for all, especially children.

This heartfelt endorsement underscores the value of partnerships in driving sustainable development.
