Integrated fish farming

Supported by the German Government, the Integrated fish farming project is currently being implemented by World Vision Kenya in three sub-counties in Homabay County. The project targets to improve food and nutrition status, increase income and enhance resilience of 900 vulnerable households and 600 unemployed youth. We had to seek for an alternative source of fish that is from the fish pond and has proved important to the people of Homabay County.

It has created employment and engage the committment of an indivdual and the community to work towards supporting effective implementation of the project.

The community is now embracing fish farming.
