Drought-affected families in Baucau, Timor-Leste receive food assistance

World Vision Timor-Leste distributed spinach, kale, chicory and green bean seeds, along with rice, to 150 families affected by drought across Baucau Municipality as part of the Baucau Drought Anticipation Project financed by Start Fund and World Vision United Kingdom. This is in addition to an earlier distribution to 1,150 families in Baucau.


During this distribution, 300 sacks of rice, 300 vegetable seed packs and 300 posters containing disaster risk reduction messages were distributed. In total, 2,650 sacks of rice, 1,450 vegetable seeds packs and 1,450 posters containing disaster risk reduction messages have been distributed to 1,300 families.
